Every path to homeownership is different.
Urban Roots Home Solutions administers the URHS Home Ownership Success Program™, a structured Homeownership system created to connect qualified Homebuyers, Property Owners, Investors, and community resources through one clear process.
The program was built around a simple belief: Homeownership should create opportunity—not barriers.
For many working households, the traditional path to Homeownership does not reflect their actual ability to earn a steady income, make dependable payments, care for a property, and build a stable future. A credit score may not tell the full story, and it should not automatically prevent someone from becoming a Homeowner.
The URHS Home Ownership Success Program™ is not credit-based. URHS does not evaluate, approve, deny, or disqualify a Homebuyer based on credit history or credit score. Homebuyers may qualify for an available home by meeting the applicable income requirements.
The education and support provided to the Homebuyer through the program are offered at no cost. Homebuyers receive clear information about the responsibilities, expenses, documentation, property terms, payments, closing process, and long-term realities of Homeownership before making the decision to move forward.
Creating a better path for the Homebuyer does not require weakening protection for the Investor.
The URHS Home Ownership Success Program™ is built around the understanding that successful Homeownership and responsible Investor protection should work together. Homebuyers need a fair opportunity, clear expectations, reliable information, and continued support. Investors and Property Owners need dependable documentation, established payment terms, defined responsibilities, and recorded protection.
URHS brings those needs together through an organized process that supports the Homebuyer while preserving the Investor’s position.
Each participating property and transaction may be different, but the purpose remains consistent: establish clear terms, explain responsibilities before closing, coordinate the necessary documentation, connect participants with the appropriate professionals, and support a transition into responsible Homeownership.
Urban Roots Home Solutions serves as the program administrator and coordinator. URHS does not represent itself as the party that owns, sells, finances, or transfers title to every participating property. Properties may be made available through participating Property Owners, Investors, and approved program partners.
Legal, lending, title, insurance, appraisal, inspection, and closing services are handled by the appropriate professionals when required.
The goal isn't simply to help someone purchase a house. The goal is to help support lasting homeownership.
Successful Homeownership does not begin and end at closing.
The URHS Home Ownership Success Program™ helps Homebuyers understand what happens before the closing, what happens during the closing, and what will be expected after the home becomes theirs. The goal is not simply to place someone in a property. The goal is to help create a Homeowner who is informed, prepared, and positioned for long-term success.
After closing, Homeowners continue to receive education, annual reviews, resource connections, and program support. This continued relationship helps Homeowners remain aware of property responsibilities, upcoming needs, available resources, and decisions that may affect the future of their home.
URHS also helps Homeowners identify repair assistance, rehabilitation programs, grants, educational resources, and community support that may be available to them. These are outside programs with their own requirements. Participation in URHS does not guarantee eligibility, funding, approval, or acceptance into any outside assistance program.
Not qualifying for an outside program does not disqualify a Homebuyer from obtaining a home through the URHS Home Ownership Success Program™ when the applicable income requirements are met.
A stable Homeowner does more than improve one household.
Homes are maintained. Families establish roots. Vacant and neglected properties return to productive use. Blocks become more stable. Neighbors gain confidence in the future of their community.
That is why the URHS Home Ownership Success Program™ is built on four permanent principles:
Protect the Investor.
Empower the Homeowner.
Strengthen the Neighborhood.
Create a Better Path to Homeownership.
Those principles guide the education, documentation, coordination, resources, and long-term support provided through the program. They also keep the program focused on what matters most: creating responsible Homeownership opportunities that work for the Homebuyer, protect the Investor, and contribute to stronger communities.
Protect the Investor. Empower the Homeowner. Strengthen the Neighborhood. Create a Better Path to Homeownership.™
